I’m so glad you’re here! As we get started, think about boosting your personal support network…maybe invite your best friend?
Wellbeing is definitely worth the investment of your time! It’s the key to feeling good and moving from functioning to flourishing. Think of wellbeing as your personal supply of resources. Strengthening these personal resources allows you to navigate the highs and lows we all experience, and to flourish intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
Wellbeing is what makes it possible for you to BE well and DO well.
Introducing the PERMAH Model
In 1998, Professor Martin Seligman, who was President of the American Psychology Association at the time, convinced his colleagues to expand their focus beyond just fixing mental illness to researching ways to build sustainable wellbeing. Dr. Seligman created the PERMAH model:

Positive emotions – The right balance of heartfelt positivity to boost resilience
Engagement – Regular development of our strengths
Relationships – The creation of authentic, energizing connections
Meaning – Connection to something bigger than ourselves
Accomplishment – Belief and ability to do things that matter most to us
Health – Cultivation of your health by eating well, moving regularly, and sleeping deeply
The PERMAH framework is a roadmap to wellbeing. My monthly challenge will support you in understanding, creating habits, and taking action around these evidence-based elements of wellbeing.
Structure of the Wellbeing Challenge
This will be a six-month Challenge. Each month, we will focus on a different elements of the PERMAH model. These are tested, practical steps to overall wellbeing.
